Children - Gift from Heaven

How much do you love kids? It is very hard to determine how much you really love them, how much you can actually do for them, until you have a chance to interact with them. They are truly a precious Gift from Heaven that makes everyday a joyous and fulfilling day.
When i was in Secondary school till poly days, I couldn't understand why my sis loves kids so much...It was until Waldron was born, my perception changed...I started to have the urge to go home early to see him.. And even choosing of toys becomes very tedious, cause I want to give him the best - The most practical things that could he enjoy as well. Now, Waldron is 2 years old. He starts to say alot of baby language - extremely cute!! Example: I was trying to coax him to sleep 15 mins ago so i switch off the light. He said "Gu gu, on light light". Imagine this sentence with his cute voice, isn't that sweet? These are the lil things that could simply brighten up a person's day. Haha..
Last night, I was nanny-ing Waldron through the night cause Sis-in-Law was admitted to hospital for child birth. I suddenly felt very motherly to take care of him. LOL! Haha...
Talking about my Sis-in-Law giving birth to baby girl, my lil niece. I will upload her pictures tomorrow.. Stay tune...

My Sunday with Michelle Darling

It has been quite a long time since i last met up with Michelle... the best person whom i have spent my poly days with...

Last Sunday (240509), We met up at a Korean restaurant at Ngee Ann City - Crystal Jade Ginseng Chicken and BBQ. Are you aware of this restaurant? I wasn't. It was recommended by Michelle through a very coincidental approach. Michelle smsed me the day before asking me what would I like to have. In my mind, I was thinking about Chinese food, so i thought of Crystal Jade at Ngee Ann City. But suddenly, i felt the taste of KimChi in my tongue, immediately i change my reply to Korean food..Haha..1 min later *ting ting*, "There's 1 Crystal Jade Korean restaurant @ Takashimaya. wanted 2 try it out for a long time..They have Korean Ginseng Chicken soup & other dishes too..." Didnt we meant to be good friend?? I certainly felt so..

As you can see from the picture, we ordered the Authentic Ginseng Chicken soup (which is said to be the "MUST HAVE" dish), pork collar (we can choose to grill it ourselves or have the chef to cook it for us) and a Sauteed Mushroom with Veggies. The soup also comes with some complimentary side dishes and the Kimchi is really good!! I will give 4.5 out of 5 stars!! Overall, the taste is good, just that the portion is a lil too big for us to finish. We spend around $82 for this meal. Though quite expensive but it's enjoyable cause of Michelle's presence.
After a fulfilling dinner, we shifted our butts to IndoChine. Wanna sit down and have a nice chat with her. She has been quite upset about certain things recently. I could understand how she feels, but i certainly believe she is 100 times more upset than i am. I really hope that time will heal her pain. Love you darling, must take good care of yourself ya ; )

Mine - Strawberry Magarita

Michelle's - Round the world

Another thing that i like about IndoChine is the live band. I dedicated Now and Forever. They did it well.
Last but not least, these photos are taken with Canon Ixus. My compact camera is with me all the time to ensure that i don't missed any precious moments. Photos are here to last a lifetime...

Waldron's FIRST visit to Woodlands Swimming Complex

How did the idea of bringing Waldron to swimming complex comes about? It was from Ada..Thks! There was a period of healthy-living time when we went swimming together (thrice i think, haha!) after work, and without fail, Ada will bring her 2 cutesy lil nieces along. Jodie and Ashley. After seeing them having so much fun in the pool, I decided to bring Waldron to the newly renovated Woodlands Swimming Complex.. It's near to my home, not too much of an effort to bring him there..Of course, I didnt bring him there alone..Mum and sis came along. I brought along my camera to capture Waldron's first swimming experience..Oops.. I think it's not the first.. but it's the first time, he had his photo taken in the pool..keke

This is my favourite photo of the day! I like this picture because all of them were looking at my direction and they were smiling so nicely and naturally...n just in time to capture Waldron's smile. I have to admit that it's not easy to capture kid's smile. I snapped 5 shots before i could get this..So don't be too stingy with the shutter.. Just snap it fast and you will get it right ; )

I like this photo, except for the background - The man's sexy back. This photo will be perfect without him! So next time, must take note of the background too.. Can i remove him using Adobe Photoshop?? Please help....

Just a gentle reminder, remember to change to a telephoto/zoom lens before taking the photo. Unless, you don't mind giving your camera a lil bathe. keke. Recalling.. I was using the kit lens - EFs 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6. Hmmm... I think i will go for another round of photo-taking for Waldron at the pool...and before any shoot, i shall do some research on the net to check out the possible angles, lenses to use and etc.... Overall, It's was a great Sunday Morning!!

Waldron's FIRST visit to Changi Airport T3

Pictures of Waldron's First visit to Changi Airport T3. Hmmm.. not afraid to share with you that it was my first visit too..keke..So i took a picture with Waldron..This photo taken by mummy..I think my passion of photography comes from my mum..I find that she's quite talented.. Don't you think so?
Below are other pics that were taken by me... A problem of being a photographer is that you don't get to be in the picture..But well, the satisfaction comes when you know that whoever is in the picture are thankful to you because you had their moments capture..
Portrait shoots of Waldron at T3...
I recalled i was the feeding him with the pancake. So one hand with my camera and another hand with the pancake.. I thought the photo was quite intimate and nice...

I love this pic!! The reflection gives alot of feel... I still remember this photo was taken when Waldron was squeezing between the trashbin and the glass window...Oops..
This was taken with the camera just above the floor, tilting up a little to capture Waldron's face. Meaning, I dont get to look through the viewfinder to find the perfect angle. I personally love this angle because i am able to capture Waldron and his world.

How was it taken? It's not difficult at all. What i did was to switch my camera to the high-speed continous shooting mode and shift my camera bit by bit.. Afterwhich, i just review the photos and erase those that i can't see Waldron's face.. That's the wonder of Digital SLR.

Other than shooting portraits of Waldron, don't forget to shot pictures of them in T3..I almost forget to do so..I was too engross in shooting close up shots of him.

Looking back at the pictures that i took at Changi Airport, I feel that Changi Airport is a good place for kids photography. Why? It's big and spacious, it allows kids to run and walk within your sight and enable you to capture them at their most natural self. Another plus point is that, background of the picture is less messy, which really focuses more on the kids expression...Of course, not forgeting the equipment i used..It's Canon EOS 50D with EF 50mm f/1.4 lens. This is the first time i lay my hands on the 50D and I am seriously hooked on it!
